Ferrao's first steps in the world of futsal came in his native Brazil with Krona Joinville but it was in Russia that he really made his name in the sport. He spell at Tuymen saw him become top scorer in the Russian League before joining Barça in the summer of 2014.
He is an international with Brazil and in 2010 he was part of the team that won the U20 South American Championships in Colombia.
Ferrao is a direct forward and his physical presence brings balance to the team. He is right footed but is not afraid to use his left. He is a versatile player with a great nose for goal.
