Born on 21 July 2007 in Teruel, Juan Hernández joined the U-14s in summer 2020 from the Real Zaragoza youth system. He progressed through the youth levels, showing his attacking side and versatility, having often played in attacking positions in midfield, on the wings and up front for the U16s and U18/19s.
He made his debut for Barça Atlètic on 25 August 2024 in the first league gameweek against Real Unión, before going on to play in eight games during that season, including two starts. He had a key role in the three trophies won by the U19s and graduated to Barça Atlètic for the 25/26 season despite still qualifying for the U19s. He has also featured in first team squads.
Juan Hernández is a midfielder with a highly attacking mindset, starting from the number 10 position, carrying the ball and sliding through passes. He can also play in the wide left position, where he can use his qualities in the final third.
