Born in Subotica, Serbia on 8 November 1981, Nikola Kalinic came to the club in the summer of 2022 from KK Crvena zvezda after Barça came to an agreement with Valencia over his registration.
The power forward started his career in Serbia in 2010 at Novi Sad where he spent six seasons. After a spell with radnicki of Belgrade, Kalinic made his way to KK Crvena zvezda.
After two seasons the Serb made a move to Turkey and Fenerbahce where he spent four campaigns, winning the EuroLeague title. A season at Valencia was followed by a return to KK Crvena zvezda in 2021.
Kalinic has an impressive list of honours having won 15 trophies throughout his career, the most important being the Euroleague win in 2017.
Kalinic has a physical presence at over 2m tall. The Serbian is good under the boards and a good perimeter as well as having a winner's mentality.
