Antonio Aranda signs for Barça B

The 20 year old attacking midfielder comes on a free from Granada and signs a two year deal with an option for another season

FC Barcelona have signed Antonio Aranda for the Barça B squad. The 20 year old comes to the Club from Recreativo Granada, the Andalusian's B team, and he will sign a two year deal until 30 June 2023 with the option of another season and a buy out clause set at 50 million euros, rising to 100 million should he become a first team player.

After completing his medical and stepping out onto the turf at the Estadi Johan Cruyff for the first time, all that remains is for the player to sign his contract in the presence of president Joan Laporta.

Granada and debut

Born in Huétor Vega in the province of Granada, after beginning his career at his home town club then Granada 74 and Unión Deportivo Maracena, Aranda joined Granada FC U19s. The midfielder made his first team debut in the Copa del Rey against San Juan and was regularly called up during the club's Europa League campaign.

Aranda is an U19 Spanish international and faced Barça playing for Granada U19s in a Copa del Rey last 16 tie in the 2018/19 season.
